Stairs are their own piece of work rather than a room, because each tread has to be done individually and there's no way to run equipment across them the way you would an open floor. They take longer per square foot than anything else in a house. Mention them when you ask for the quote so the number you get is the real one.
Will cleaning make my carpet shrink or ripple?+
Rippling that shows up after a clean is almost always carpet that had already lost its stretch, and moisture just made it visible for a while. It usually settles back as it dries. Genuine shrinkage comes from soaking a carpet, which is what a machine with weak extraction does, and it's the main practical reason to use proper equipment.
Can you clean carpet that has pet accidents in it?+
Tell us before we start and show us where, because it changes the approach. Surface cleaning a spot that soaked through to the underlay will make it look fine and smell again in a week, since the source is underneath. We'll be straight with you about what a clean will and won't fix in that situation.
Do you need to move everything out of the room?+
No. We move light furniture as part of the job and clean around anything large or fragile. If you want the room completely cleared so every square foot gets done, that's fine too, just say so when you book so the extra time is planned in.
How soon can we walk on it?+
